The elevation of this place is over 3000 meters. Water and fuel are both scarce. You can see one of the small villages in the background. The small canal was dug to irrigate the crops which consisted or barley and horribly small tomatoes and potatoes. We had great difficulty getting food and would often hitch for hours just to buy bread and produce. I actually ran here wearing just what you see.
